Chesterton, IN-Lake Erie Land Company's Don Ewoldt, Director of Resource Management, will be speaking at the National Recreation & Park Association's 2000 Congress Education Session in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 13, 2000.
Ewoldt will speak about the environmental innovations in course management affecting the future of golf and the emerging trends that will have significant impacts in the areas of cost and enjoyability of the game. Some of the topics he will discuss include wastewater wetlands, stream restoration, environmental parking lots and wetland mitigation. Ewoldt was selected to speak at the session because of his outstanding accomplishments in golf course management that earned Sand Creek the Golf Course Superintendents’ Association of America (GCSAA) Environmental Steward Award for private golf courses this past February.
