Chesterton, IN-Lake Erie Land Company joined Mid-Continent Development & Construction Company and Hilton today in announcing the start of construction for the Hilton Garden Inn at Coffee Creek Center.
Located at the Southeast corner of Gateway Boulevard and Rt. 49 and just north of the Indiana toll way, the hotel is the second building underway at Coffee Creek Center. "We're thrilled to welcome Hilton to Coffee Creek Center," said LEL spokesman Kevin Warren. "To have one of the finest names in hotels make this commitment to Chesterton truly illustrates the growing stature of the Duneland community." The hotel will be four stories in height and will have a total of 120 rooms. Twelve of the rooms will be one-bedroom suites. The centerpiece is the Pavilion, which houses the lobby, T.V. lounge, restaurant and bar. The Garden Inn will also feature two meeting rooms and one boardroom. The boardroom will be 350 square feet, accommodating up to 20 people at a conference table. One meeting room will be 900 square feet and the other room will be 1300 square feet. An indoor swimming pool and spa will be provided along with an exercise room. A sun deck will be situated off of the pool area.
