Chesterton, IN-Kevin Warren, Director of Communications for Lake Erie Land Company, will be presenting Coffee Creek Center to the Community Development Council and also the environmental Council of the Urban Land Institute on November 2, 2000, during their annual Fall conference that will be held in Chicago.
Warren will be discussing the role of the developer in sustainable communities as well as the specific environmental and community components that help create sustainability and the relationship between value and quality of life. Topics that he will discuss include access to open space, participation in community, access to economic opportunities and environmental preservation. The mission of the Urban Land Institute is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land to enhance the total environment. The ULI strives to bring together the people able to influence the outcome of important issues related to land use and the built environment while communicating their research in order to increase the ULIÕs influence on land use policy and practice.
